This is a wonderful adventure that combines Costa Rican’s rich history with its world famous natural beauty. In addition to having beautiful beaches, nature trails, plentiful wildlife and four species of nesting sea turtles, Santa Rosa National Park protects the largest remaining tropical dry forest in Central America and happens to be Costa Rica’s most important historic site. It has been the setting of three major battles. The most important was in 1856 when President Juanito Mora called on the citizens of Costa Rica to unite their forces and come together to defend their liberty and Costa Rica’s independence against William Walker and his troops. It was a success and as a result the government declared the Hacienda Santa Rosa La Casona a national monument.
Santa Rosa National Park is home to Playa Nancite, famous for the large number of nesting Olive Ridgely turtles and Playa Naranjo with world-renowned surfing (Witches Rock and Ollie’s Point)
Enjoy the feeling of driving up and down mountains and hills, of crossing rivers, of being surrounded by the luxuriant vegetation of the forest. Look around and discover the wildlife: tropical birds, howler monkeys yelling in the trees, iguanas crossing your paths and enjoy the beauty of the Nature that is making Costa Rica famous all over the world. The ATV tour is an unforgettable excursion and it is also good for absolute beginners who want to try something different.
